The Orange and Black dominated from the start, thanks to one of the greatest shifts you will EVER see in hockey. Giroux leveled Sidney Crosby off the face off putting him on his back side, then moments later stole a pass from Steve Sullivan and sniped a wrist shot in the top left corner past Marc Andre Fluery. #Precision
Giroux was one point away from breaking the Flyers record for most points scored in a single playoff series. Number 28 notched 14 total points, scoring 6 goals including a hat trick in game number two. Giroux clearly out played both Sidney Crosby, and the expected Hart trophy winner, Evgeni Malkin proving to the hockey world that it is Giroux who is the best all-around hockey player in the National Hockey League.
The Flyers will enjoy some off days and await their second round opponent. (Let's hope and pray for a New York Rangers loss in Game 7).
