Who Would Of Ever Thought? Pat Burrell Is Now A MLB Scout

Pat Burrell's off the field sex stories and his torching of the New York Mets while a Philadelphia Phillie are certainly well known. During Burrell's career he became one of the most beloved and hated athletes in the history of the city. Two weeks ago it was announced that Burrell will sign a one day contract with the Phillies in May to retire in red pinstripes. Unfortunately, Burrell's career was cut a few years short because of a nagging foot injury.

During his nine years in Philadelphia, Burrell displayed an arsenal of power, averaging just under 28 home runs per year, including 33 jacks in 2008 en route to a World Series Victory.

What is Pat Burrell doing these days you may ask?

He is currently a scout for the San Francisco Giants and will hold down that duty for at least all of 2012. During the Phillies series in Arizona this week, Burrell has been seen with a notebook in the stands, doing some scout work for San Francisco.

Who Would Of Ever Thought.
